DO SENATORS ADVOCATING PASSAGE OF HAGEL-MARTINEZ READ THE NEWS?

Posted by Bernard in Illegal Immigration, Politics, Current Events, Borders, Mexico, News, Senate  Monday May 22, 2006 at 11:28 am

If they did, how could they read the following and persist in insisting on amnesty in the guise of earned citizenship for illegals, Social Security benefits for illegals, a “tempoary” Guest Worker program that is anything but temporary and that will increase the number of so-called “immigrants” in the country by a staggering number? Or is their tone deafness a function of their regal insularity?

Regardless, concerned Americans had better try to head this abomination (i.e., the Hagel-Martinez “compromise” bill) off by lobbying their senators and their senators’ staffs via e-mails.

  1. […] The cloture vote is today and 41 votes are needed to kill that motion dead in its tracks. This vote will be tantamount to a vote on AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS and it is absolutely critical that each of us call, at minimum, our own two senators this morning to register our outrage that the Senate appears determined to defy the will of the people and forsake the very notion of “representative government.” […]

  2. […] The United States Senate, determined to foist its will on the majority of American citizens for whom it is supposed to provide representation, will likely vote today to follow the pied pipers of the Praetorian Guard — Ted Kennedy and John McCain — on an earned path toward legislative infamy. There should be no amnesty quartered by American voters for those who vote “Yea” today for S-2611, the Hagel-Martinez bill. Instead, the rascals, Republicans and Democrats alike, should be voted out of office when they come up for re-election and subsequently shipped off to Mexico City to become “Guest Legislators” there, since the interests of Mexico take precedence in their minds over the interests of the United States of America. Voting out a host of incumbents should become the “common and unifying language” of American voters come the midterm elections in November and, again, in 2008 and beyond. If these tone-deaf betrayers of representative government later want back into the Senate, then let them get in line behind more able and worthy candidates. […]
